We are currently seeking a highly motivated and driven handyman! The handyman is responsible for providing basic maintenance for the properties we manage throughout Allegheny County.

A strong candidate will bring a full range of knowledge (including but not limited to) general handyman skills, plumbing, carpentry, drywalling, and HVAC. The handyman will perform tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for the timely and professional completion of tasks to the standards of our organization.

THIS IS A PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION. MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS AND TRANSPORTATION (mileage reimbursement provided).

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic maintenance for managed properties as assigned
  • Perform and provide exceptional quality work and services
  • Perform work in a timely manner
  • Minimal interaction with tenants. The maintenance manager will schedule. Handyman will just inform tenants when they are on their way (if occupied)
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in maintenance or suitable experience in residential repairs
  • Ability to prepare, write and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and staff
  • Sense of urgency
  • General maintenance and repair knowledge
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Willingness to learn
  • Must provide own tools necessary for basic maintenance functions and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
 

PAY: $50,000 - $55,000 a year based on experience
Compensation: $25.00 per hour
